Mellie

About

Mellie began writing graffiti in Utrecht in 1986 and became closely associated with train graffiti in the Netherlands and across Europe. Much of his work was made within a culture of travel, crews and intensive exchange, with trains and metro systems becoming central to his practice.

For Ruyzdael Publishing, Mellie wrote Catalogue of Unsolved Crimes, a memoir built from personal recollections, photographs and contributions from people who shared that period with him. The book documents not only the graffiti itself, but the friendships, journeys and stories surrounding it.
