Duvel

About

Duvel is a Rotterdam rapper and producer active in Dutch hip hop since the early 1980s. His background spans breakdance, graffiti and music, and in 1997 he co-founded DuvelDuvel. His work is known for its distinctive use of language, dry humour and unconventional production, moving between personal observation and social commentary.

In 2016 he co-founded Ruyzdael with Ferry van Zijderveld and Dimitri Madimin. For Ruyzdael Publishing, Duvel created Rariteitenkabinet, a fifteen-track album produced by RayTheBarbarian and Ballantyne Beats and released on vinyl in 2026, accompanied by a limited-edition T-shirt.
