W.O.W. crew formed in the late 1980s between Amsterdam and Utrecht during the first European graffiti wave. The crew developed around anonymity, consistency, humour and a refusal to commercialise, maintaining a long-running practice built on shared codes and collective identity rather than individual visibility.
For Ruyzdael Publishing, Why Oh Why documented the crew’s third decade, 2010–2020. Writing Our World — Graffiti Manifesto takes a different approach, bringing the crew’s principles, convictions and recent work together as a manifesto rather than a retrospective.
